Future letters
A future letter is a message Angel Reminder delivers to one of your recipients on a future date you choose – independent of the check-in mechanism. Perfect for words that should arrive on a specific occasion: an 18th birthday, an anniversary, or simply “in five years”.
How to schedule a future letter
- Open the “Future letters” tile in the app.
- Pick a recipient from your contacts (they need an email address).
- Write a subject and your message.
- Choose the delivery date (tomorrow at the earliest).
- Schedule message and you’re done. It appears in your list of planned messages and can be cancelled any time before delivery.
Good to know
- Delivered by email: on the chosen day we send the message to the recipient’s stored address.
- Recipient snapshot: the email address is stored when you schedule. If you change the contact later, the planned message keeps the originally chosen address.
- Beyond the emergency, too: a future letter is delivered on the planned date – even if you are no longer reachable by then. That is exactly its purpose.
- No double sending: each message is delivered at most once. If a technical problem occurs during sending, it is not accidentally sent again but marked as “failed”.
- Premium feature: future letters are part of Angel Reminder Premium.
