Confidant
In short: The confidant is a person who gains access to your inventory if the worst happens. They help your loved ones use the information you stored and take care of what needs to be done.
While recipients are notified of your notes, the role of the confidant goes a step further: this is the person you trust who gains access to your inventory if the worst happens, allowing them to actively support your loved ones.

The role
Choose a person you truly trust and who can act if the worst happens – someone who keeps a cool head and can be there for your loved ones. This could be a family member, a close friend or another person you are close to.
Access if the worst happens
Only when the worst happens – that is, when you no longer respond within the period you set – does the confidant gain access to your inventory. As long as you check in regularly via your sign of life, everything stays private with you.
What to keep in mind
- Talk to the person beforehand so they know their role and are willing to accept it.
- Make sure their email address is up to date and reachable.
- In your inventory, keep only pointers as well – the “that & where”, never passwords.
