Contracts & subscriptions
Electricity, mobile phone, insurance, streaming, memberships: most households run ten to fifteen contracts, and the family knows about few of them. When the worst happens that costs time and money – contracts keep running because nobody knows they exist, who to call, or by when they can be cancelled. That is what the contract manager is for.
How to add a contract
- Open the “Contracts & subscriptions” tile in the app.
- Choose Add contract and enter the name – the way you would look for it yourself, e.g. “Electricity, City Utilities”.
- Add what you have at hand: provider or contact (email, phone number), contract number, amount & interval.
- Pick the type: a running contract or a one-off payment.
- Enter the start date and the end. If there is no end date, choose “Open ended / free text” and write what applies – for example “open ended” or “24 month term”.
- The notice period is the most important field for your family: “3 months before the end of term” tells them how much time they have.
- Use Note to record where the paperwork is kept.
- Finally tick the recipients who should receive this contract – and save.
Who receives which contract?
You decide that per contract. Home and energy contracts may go to your partner, business ones to your accountant. A contract without a recipient is not delivered – the app points this out as long as no box is ticked.
If the worst happens, the contracts appear as their own section in the email to exactly those recipients, sorted by what expires first. You can preview this at any time: every contact in the recipient list has an email preview.
Good to know
- No limit: add as many contracts as you like – in the free account too.
- Expired contracts are not sent. If the end date is in the past, the contract stays in your list (marked “expired”) but is no longer delivered to your recipients. The delivery does not go stale without you doing anything.
- Temporarily disable: the “Contract is active” switch lets you keep an entry but exclude it from delivery.
- Automatic delivery requires Premium. You can record and maintain everything in the free account; for your notes and contracts to actually be sent if the worst happens, Premium is needed.
- Do not store credentials: contract number and contact person yes – passwords, PINs or complete payment details do not belong here.
- The note category “Contracts & subscriptions” stays. Nothing you recorded there is lost. For new contracts the contract manager is the better place, because term and notice period have their own fields.
